Family: Raised 7 children in the home (5 boys 2 girls) live all over US 
Health: Andrew is legally blind. He has diabetes. Weekly doctor’s appointments. Walks 
with a walker. Annette recent survivor of breast cancer and knee surgery. Both require 
aides for mobility. Annette is caregiver. Food, medication and utilities take all their income 
and savings in a month 
Found Help: A neighbor 
Before: Leaky roof (using kilz to block the stains) 
 Main entrance had steps and no handrails 
 Poor lighting in house 
 No fire/CO2 detection equipment 
 Hallway was described as scary 
 Leaky plumbing in bathroom 
 Lack of self-care due to fear of falling in shower

• Ramp at front door-(Contractor with volunteers) 
• Handrail at front door-(volunteers) 
• Grab Bars in Master Shower (Volunteer)
