Approval of Minutes A. MIN2025-084 Approval of the March 28, 2025 Smyrna Public Art Committee Meeting Minutes Committee Member Burke Scott made a motion to approve item MIN2025-084; seconded by Committee Member Imani Thomas. The motion to approve carried with the following vote: Aye: 5 – City Council Liaison Oglesby, Committee Member Foote, Committee Member Harrison, Committee Member Scott, Committee Member Thomas Nay: 0 – None Absent: 2 – Committee Member Rhome, Committee Member Styf 6. Other Business / Staff Comment Carson Haynie asked if Rickey N. Oglesby Jr. could stop by during the Fire Hydrant painting on the weekend of May 10 and May 11. Mr. Oglesby responded he will be unavailable due to his son’s graduation from college. Richard Garland wants to know if a Smyrna Public Art Committee logo is necessary. Anna Talarico said some agencies establish a logo while others do not. Anna Talarico said that she does not think that commissioning someone to create a logo is something that can be paid for using public art funds. Richard Garland inquired about using photos of the fire hydrant designs for giveaways. Anna Talarico said that the images from the artist concepts may not be used for this purpose, but photographs of the actual fire hydrant painting may be used for non-commercial purposes such as giveaways. 7. Adjournment The May 2, 2025 Smyrna Public Art Committee was adjourned at 1:08 PM.
