1. Roll Call

2. Call to Order
The July 31, 2026 Smyrna Public Art Committee meeting held at A. Max Bacon City Hall in the
HR Training Room was called to order at 11:32 AM.
3. Chairperson Instruction and Comment
Chairperson Oglesby welcomed everyone to the meeting and commended the committee on the
progress of the public art projects, noting that the boxes looked great. He also shared that the
media has expressed significant interest in the City of Smyrna’s public art initiatives. Chairperson
Oglesby expressed his appreciation for the committee’s continued efforts to promote and
enhance public art throughout the community.

Brush & Box Fest
Special Projects Manager Carson Haynie reported that the event was a success and that
the City received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both community members and
participating artists. Anna Talarico of Designing Local presented photographs from the
event and shared comments from artist feedback forms. Ms. Talarico and Ms. Haynie
noted that several opportunities for improvement were identified and that adjustments
