• The System Administrator monitors and maintains the City’s major software systems with
primary responsibility for the City's ERP and Public Safety Systems.
• The Network and Server Engineer is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the computer
network and servers' infrastructure.
• The IT Support Specialist provides front line IT support and deployment of computers to city
staff.
• The Web Administrator maintains the City’s website and intranets from a technical and
functional aspect, while ensuring that both the City and the public needs are being met.
• The GIS Manager supports the City’s GIS systems, providing coordination between the various
departments and in some cases outside entities.
• The GIS Technician is tasked with various GIS related duties.
Major Goals & Objectives
• Monitor the health of the City’s computers and network
• Harden and maintain the cybersecurity of all City owned IT assets
• Maintain the City’s website and intranet
• Support the city-wide VoIP and analog telephone systems

• Support the ArcGIS Online web-based GIS portal
• Support the use of ArcGIS Online and Open Data (GIS data sharing)
• Manage the IT security systems which include firewalls, network access control, physical access

• Provide user training
• Provide cyber security awareness training and testing to all employees using IT systems
• Manage the IT infrastructure life cycle, hardware replacement
• Support mobile public safety access and devices (phones, cellular connections, MDT)
