City of Smyrna Issue Sheet File Number: A Max Bacon City Hall 2800 King Street Smyrna, GA 30080 1 1 3 1 EMS will be present at the start/finish line of the race by provided by the Smyrna Fire Department VRS is responsible for putting out their own cones and road barricades for the event All resident inquiries shall be directed to VRS RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: Given that the applicant follows all requirements as mentioned above, staff recommends approval of the Special Event Permit for VRS to host the ‘Race to See 5K’ on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 6:00AM – 9:30AM with rolling road closures to begin at Brinkley Park on Legion Drive, Dunn Street, King Springs Road, Concord Road, Atlanta Road (runners will remain on sidewalk), Collier Drive, Dunn Street and Legion Drive ending at Brinkley Park, with signage posted at each intersection one week prior to event.
