Chairperson Richard Garland called to order the September 24, 2025 License and Variance
Board meeting held at A. Max Bacon City Hall in Council Chambers at 10:00 AM.

A. V25-086 Public Hearing - Variance Request - V25-086 - Increase the maximum impervious
surface area from 35% to 37% - Land Lot 665 - 1807 Teasley Drive - William Blount
Ward 2 Councilmember - Latonia P. Hines
Caitlin Crowe, Land Services Development Coordinator, provided the following
background:
The subject parcel is a 0.35-acre lot located on the west side of Teasley Drive (see Figure
1). The subject parcel and all adjacent parcels are zoned R-15 and are all occupied by
single-family detached residences.
The subject property is currently occupied by an existing 1,620 square foot two-story
single-family home, built in 1984. In March 2025, the applicant received a building permit
for a 1,846 square foot building addition in the rear (RBP-24-513). The applicant is now
proposing to increase the addition size to 2,027 square feet to allow an overall increase in
proposed room sizes. With the renovations, the home will be roughly 3,466 square feet,
bringing the home into compliance with the R-15 minimum floor area requirement of 2,000
square feet.
