Citywide ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: After the recent loss of Public Works Director Eric Randall, an alternate member vacancy was created. The recommendation is to appoint Deputy Fire Chief Eric Mohrmann and Carson Haynie, Special Projects Manager as alternate members of the License and Variance Board beginning February 1, 2026. The addition of two alternate members will allow for current alternates and regular members to manage their scheduling conflicts for meeting dates more effectively. Current regular Board Members are Chair / City Administrator MIke Jones, Community Services Administrator Richard Garland and Economic Development Director Andrea Worthy. Current Alternate Board Members are Deputy Fire Chief Eric Mohrmann and Library Services Director Mary Moore. RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: Administration and the City Clerk’s Office recommend appointment of Deputy Fire Chief Dustin Davey and Special Projects Manager Carson Haynie to serve as an alternate members of the License and Variance Board effective February 1, 2026.
