Ward 3 Councilmember - Travis Lindley This item was approved on the Consent Agenda. Q. ATH2025-111 Approval for issue of permit to Special Blends Mobile Bartending for permission to conduct beer, wine, liquor and mixed drinks sales at the City of Smyrna Juneteenth event on Thursday, June 19, 2025 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. under the direction of the Smyrna Parks & Recreation Department, within the event area of Village Green Park. Ward 3 Councilmember - Travis Lindley This item was approved on the Consent Agenda. R. AGR2025-030 Approve the Church Street Drainage Improvement Project, approve the Settlement Agreement negotiated by GIRMA resolving Collier and Sterling v the City of Smyrna, both subject to receiving a donation of storm water easements from The Village Oaks HOA and authorize the mayor to sign all related documents. Citywide This item was approved on the Consent Agenda. III. Public Comment Brian Sterling, 1206 Church Street – Came forward to express support for the Church Street Drainage Improvement Project. He stated he appreciates how much the city is willing to work with them and for their time and effort. Mediation was a pleasant process. Skyler Akins, 1302 Countryside Place – Stated that his group was denied the right to participate in Smyrna’s Pride. He is a founding member and contributor to this group. There have been death threats on Instagram. His concerns: Is there a plan to make sure that they are safe and protected at this festival? How do I assure folks that they are safe? The groups called Angel Action and Pansy Patrol send people to agitate the public. He is asking to publicly disinvite that public and negative behavior. Mayor Norton stated he had discussions with Police Chief Zgonc. He has assured the Mayor that everyone will be safe. He has every confidence in the police department to ensure everyone is safe. Collin Scheible – President of GA Log Cabin Republicans – Stated that this weekend has him genuinely terrified. There has been online vitriol. This does not represent
