VISITORS Library: 492 Museum: 48 On Friday, March 13, the Smyrna Library’s Adult Services team hosted back-to-back events. Red Onion Press presented a lecture about an ongoing letterpress art project and demonstrated a 19th-century letterpress. The lecture was followed by a hands-on ‘Fundamentals of Letterpress’ workshop led by Stukenborg Press (click here to see the video footage from the workshop). Participants enjoyed learning how to compose messages using ‘sorts’ and printing them onto cardstock. LETTERPRESS Tweens at the Smyrna Library played capture the flag with a twist! On Tuesday, March 10, they covered each other in color while sprinting for flags and defending their territory. We are grateful for the green space that makes programs like this possible. CAPTURE THE FLAG M A R C H 1 6 - M A R C H 2 0 P A G E 0 5 LIBRARY AND MUSEUM On Saturday, March 14, twenty-nine children and adults visited the Smyrna History Museum to learn about Women’s History Month theme ‘Leading the Change.’ Participants created crafts inspired by Jane Goodall, Fannie Lou Hamer, and Dolores Huerta.
