LIC2025-037 Authorization for the Temporary Sales Certificate for a Christmas Tree Lot located at 810 Pebblebrook Road by MBH Pebblebrook LLC dba October Optics with Jane Bledsoe as the applicant. Ward 7 Councilmember - Rickey N. Oglesby Jr. Russell Martin, Community Development Director, explained that a similar license was approved a couple months ago for the same applicant for a produce stand. Because of the changing season, the applicant would like to change the merchandise. Councilmember Rickey N. Oglesby Jr. made a motion to approve item LIC2025-037; seconded by Councilmember Latonia P. Hines. The motion to approve carried with the following vote: Aye: 7 – Councilmember Pickens, Councilmember Hines, Councilmember Lindley, Councilmember Welch, Councilmember Wilkinson, Mayor Pro Tem / Councilmember Gould, Councilmember Oglesby Nay: 0 – None Recuse: 0 – None B. LIC2025-039 Public Hearing – Authorization for a new request Pawnbroker license for Atlanta Title Pawn, LLC located at 2380 Cobb Pkwy SE, Smyrna, GA 30080 by the agent applicant Autumn McClellan. Ward 1 Councilmember - Glenn Pickens Mike Jones, City Administrator, provided the following background: Community Development recommends denial of the requested pawn broker permit. The subject location at 2380 Cobb Parkway does not meet the location requirements, per Section 22-85 of the City’s Pawn Broker Ordinance.
