5. Mayoral Report
A. 25-7670 Recognition of Robbie Alexander III, champion junior golfer from Smyrna
Citywide
Mayor Derek Norton introduced Robbie Alexander III:
Robbie Alexander III is a student-athlete at Campbell Middle School in Smyrna,
Georgia, and one of the top junior golfers in the state. In 2025, he was named Georgia
State Champion after winning the GSGA Junior Tour Invitational, the official season
finisher for junior golfers.
He finished the 2025 season ranked #1 in Georgia for the Boys 12–15 9-hole Division,
leading the state in every major performance category, including:
• Highest point total
• Lowest scoring differential
• Top overall performance ranking score
• 13 competitive events, one of the highest participation totals among top-ranked
players
Robbie also earned the prestigious title of GSGA Junior Tour Player of the Year for his
age division and secured five tournament victories in 2025, including his first-ever
competitive event win.
He trains daily—often more than two hours per day—under the guidance of his
coach, Lennard James, founder of Golf Cream. His disciplined routine incorporates
full-swing development, short-game precision, strength and mobility work, and mental
preparation.
Academically, Robbie maintains straight A’s in honors classes, has been on
the Principal’s List every year, and is active in leadership and academic clubs,
including Beta Club and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). He aspires to
earn a full college scholarship, major in business, and compete at the collegiate level.
Robbie is proud to represent his hometown of Smyrna in statewide competitions and
exemplifies excellence both on and off the course. He is supported every day by his
parents, Dr. Robert and Kili Alexander, his sister Elle, his coach Lennard James, and
a close, supportive community of friends and families.
Robbie Alexander III thanked his family, neighbors, and friends. He thanked his coach,
Lennard James, who has helped and supported him for many years. His friends have
been there since kindergarten, motivating him to be a better person. And he
thanked his grandparents who he credits for setting him on a successful academic
path.
