This is a citizen request that has a segment of land behind their property located at 
1565 Roswell Street SE. The property owner has requested the City of Smyrna deed 
ownership of that segment to the individual owner since the city has no use or plans of 
utilization for the old alley way segment.  
 
Mayor Pro Tem / Councilmember Tim Gould made a motion to approve item CNV2026-
005; seconded by Councilmember Latonia P. Hines. 
 
The motion to approve carried with the following vote: 
 
Aye: 5 –  Councilmember Pickens, Councilmember Hines, Councilmember 
Wilkinson, Mayor Pro Tem / Councilmember Gould, Councilmember 
Oglesby  
Nay: 0 –  None 
Absent: 2 –  Councilmember Lindley, Councilmember Welch

Councilmember Glenn Pickens said they held a Service Day this past Friday with 
Rebuilding Together Atlanta. They worked on a house in Ward 7. The owner’s 
grandfather built the house in the 1930’s. The cleanup made a huge difference.
