4. Other Business / Staff Comment 
 
Joe Bennett, City Administrator, updated Mayor and Council on the following:  
 
• There will be another suspension appeal hearing  
• Met with Croy Engineering concerning Windy Hill Rd. and remnants 
• Still working with Couch on a date they will be ready to move forward 
• Ward 7 Splash Pad – when moving dirt, they hit a patch of trees 
 
Councilmember Oglesby – Smyrna Elite Track Team has a large group of kids competing in 
state championships. 
  
Mayor Norton – Girls 9-year-old basketball team won state, and three girls from Smyrna, 
including his own daughter, won championships for gymnastics. 
  
Councilmember Lindley – Downtown redevelopment online survey closed with very good 
participation. Monday, April 28 there will be a drop-in open house at the Community Center.  
  
Councilmember Wilkinson – asked when the next Traffic Calming meeting would take place. 
Councilmember Lindley said Mark Wolff, City Engineer, is working on a date that will be fairly 
soon. He has lots of updates. 
  
Mayor Pro Tem Gould – The Campbell High School Golf Tournament took place today with a 
good turnout.  
  
Russell Martin, Community Development Director – As mentioned previously, the open house is 
on Monday, and they will also have a booth at the Jonquil Festival.
