Ward 7 Councilmember – Rickey Oglesby, Jr. ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: The City of Smyrna requested proposals for the Village Green Restroom and Playground. The project includes the demolition of an existing pavilion, playground, and concrete sidewalk. Proposed work includes installation of one (1) restroom building, playground, hardscape, granite retaining walls (30” max), landscaping, lighting and electrical, erosion control, grading and drainage, and associated utility improvements. This project is managed by Foresite Group. Eleven (11) proposals were received on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Based on evaluation of relevant experience, methodology, approach, staffing, references, and cost the recommended firm is the low bidder, Couch Group LLC in the amount of $1,371,925.00.
