Citywide ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: Over the past several years, CDBG funds invested in the City have supported numerous public improvements, and the City of Smyrna continues to serve as a subrecipient of the Cobb County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Effective May 28, 2026, the Subrecipient Agreement is amended to reflect the following changes: an increase of $82,741.62 to the PY26 CDBG Subrecipient Agreement No. CD26-C26S8, and a reallocation of the Administration and Planning budget to Public Facilities, resulting in a revised Public Facilities award of $302,597.00. All other terms, conditions, and provisions of the original agreement remain unchanged and in full force and effect. RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: Staff recommends approval of Amendment No. 1 to the Cobb County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Subrecipient Agreement No. CD26-C26S8 to increase the award by $82,741.62 and reallocate the Administration and Planning budget to Public Facilities, resulting in a total amended PY2026 allocation of $302,597.00, and to authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents.
