We are requesting to move existing meter and dial replacement available budget to this new project to show all the costs in one project rather than three different ones. • We need to amend the project length budgets for the 2016 SPLOST fund budgets to true up LTD balances on both revenue and expenditure accounts. AGR2026-003: Paul Osburn, Interim Public Works Director, stated this is a request based on a need after a review of the safety of the pedestrian access located at the Hawthorne Avenue at Atlanta Road railroad crossing. It has been identified that there are some valid concerns that need to be evaluated and addressed. We have also received numerous citizen complaints and concerns about the pedestrian safety at this location. This project will be performed in 2 phases: the initial phase is design and then a construction phase will follow. Both phases of the project will be funded out of 2022 SPLOST – Traffic Calming line item. 5. Other Business / Staff Comment Chief Keith Zgonc discussed the issue of kids swarming The Battery and Cumberland Mall. Cobb County asked Smyrna PD for assistance this weekend. Councilmember Welch mentioned not to forget about addressing the drag racing at the Big Lots shopping center. Councilmember Hines reminded all that the Black History Month celebration will take place tomorrow. Councilmember Oglesby announced Juneteenth planning has started. There will be many more live bands this year. 6. Executive Session (As Needed) Councilmember Travis Lindley made a motion Enter into Executive Session to discuss personnel; seconded by Councilmember Latonia P. Hines. The motion Enter into Executive Session carried with the following vote: Aye: 7 – Councilmember Pickens, Councilmember Hines, Councilmember Lindley, Councilmember Welch, Councilmember Wilkinson, Councilmember / Mayor Pro Tem Gould, Councilmember Oglesby Nay: 0 – None Recuse: 0 – None Councilmember Travis Lindley made a motion Return to Regular Session; seconded by Councilmember Glenn Pickens. The motion Return to Regular Session carried with the following vote: Aye: 7 – Councilmember Pickens, Councilmember Hines, Councilmember Lindley, Councilmember Welch, Councilmember Wilkinson, Councilmember / Mayor Pro Tem Gould, Councilmember Oglesby Nay: 0 – None Recuse: 0 – None
