Chairperson Joel Powell called to order the April 13, 2026 Planning and Zoning Commission
meeting held at A. Max Bacon City Hall in Council Chambers at 6:00 PM.

A. Z26-002 Public Hearing - Zoning Request - Z26-002 - Allow rezoning from LC to GC - 0.26
acres - Land Lot 450 - 3475 S Cobb Drive - Phyllis Ridgeway
Ward 3 Councilmember - Travis Lindley
Joey Staubes, Planner II, provided the following background:
The applicant is requesting to rezone the subject property at 3475 S Cobb Drive from LC
(Limited Commercial) to GC (General Commercial) to allow additional uses for potential
tenants in the existing building. The property is occupied with an 964 sq. ft. building
occupied by a hair salon. The property owner is requesting a rezoning to GC to allow a
massage practitioner with one table. The applicant has no plans to redevelop the property
and will utilize the existing building and parking facility as-is. The request is to be heard by
Mayor and Council on May 18, 2026.
Staff is recommending approval with the following conditions:
