The Parks and Recreation Department, along with Mayor Norton, Councilman Pickens, and
Councilman Oglesby Jr., celebrated the grand opening of the River Line Park Splash Pad on
Friday, May 1. Approximately 100 guests joined in kicking off the long-awaited fun and
excitement now available for the community to enjoy. Festivities included free t-shirts,
concession samples, music, and, of course, plenty of play at the splash pad. Bring your family and
stop by for a splash this summer! The event was also featured in the Marietta Daily Journal,
which highlighted the celebration and community turnout for the new amenity.
