On Friday, May 1, members of City Council and city staff partnered with Rebuilding Together Atlanta to support a local homeowner in need. This volunteer effort focused on making meaningful improvements to a home in Ward 7, helping address critical health and safety concerns. Volunteers included Mayor Derek Norton, Glenn Pickens (Ward 1), and Rickey Oglesby Jr. (Ward 7), along with dedicated team members from the Smyrna Fire Department and Smyrna Police Department. Together, they worked throughout the morning to clean up the property and improve conditions for the resident, making a meaningful difference for a neighbor in need.
