2. Call to Order
Mayor Derek Norton called to order the September 8, 2025 Pre-Council meeting held at A. Max
Bacon City Hall in the Admin Conference Room at 6:35 PM.
3. Review of Current M&C Agenda
PRE2025-030 Review of the September 8, 2025 Mayor and Council Meeting Notice and
Agenda
Mayor Norton reviewed the September 8, 2025 Mayor and Council agenda. No discussion
took place.
4. Other Business / Staff Comment
Mike Jones, City Administrator, noted the following:
• Taste of Smyrna was wildly successful
• Andrea Worthy, Economic Development Director, had a booth set up for comments for
the Downtown Redevelopment project
• Downtown bathroom will be completed at the end of the month
• All of the swings in downtown have been removed because of vandalism
