Ward and Staff Reports Councilmember Travis Lindley echoed the Mayor’s comments that this Sunday is Rev. Derek Porter’s final sermon that will take place at Smyrna First UMC. He stated he is a very proud member and friend of Rev. Porter who has an awesome opportunity to be Sr. Pastor at Roswell UMC, which is the second largest Methodist congregation in the state and the tenth largest congregation in the country. Councilmember Rickey N. Oglesby Jr. announced the Juneteenth Festival on June 19 at 6:00 PM following the FIFA World Cup Tournament. Contact Jodi Mills for sponsorship opportunities. Heather Peacon-Corn, City Clerk, stated that Advanced Voting for the General Primary Runoff will take place June 8 – June 12, 7 a-7 p at Smyrna First Baptist Church. Election day is June 16.
