Typewriter Tom and Friends returned to Smyrna Library on Friday, April 10, for a delightful “typewriter petting zoo.” In celebration of National Letter Writing Month and National Poetry Month, participants were encouraged to type letters to friends or compose original poems. One young attendee wrote a poem about a boat—and, by happy coincidence, completed a typing challenge on the bottom half of the same page that formed the image of a ship. The unexpected pairing amazed everyone! Kuzushi Club Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu hosted its attendance competition among all four shifts, encouraging participation, teamwork, and skill-building.
