of violent criminals...immigrants or otherwise. 
 
I once witnessed an ICE workplace raid on Concord Rd. with the building of Bentley 
Park. The raid was frightening, depraved, and immoral - just plain wrong. 
 
I am asking you to pass a resolution to oppose and keep these sanctioned masked 
marauders, known as ICE, out of the city. Protect our neighbors, protect our 
community. 
 
History has its eyes on us. 
 
12.  Ward and Staff Reports 
 
Councilmember Glenn Pickens – Thanked those who came to the joint wards 1,3, & 
6 town hall last weekend. 
  
Councilmember Latonia P. Hines – Black History Month will be a Taste of BHM 
program. It will be 100 years of celebration of Black history and contributions of black 
citizens in this nation. The Cobb NAACP MLK Jr. program will be on Monday, 
January 19. The Ward 2 meeting will be held on January 22, 2026 in Council 
Chambers. LiveSafe Resources – the only domestic violence shelter in Cobb County 
– has a woman of achievement recognition, and Laura Norton, Mayor Norton’s wife, 
is one of the nominees this year, as well as Kathy Young, a former council member. 
  
Councilmember Travis Lindley – Thanked those who attended the joint town hall. In 
his time with the Council, he has hosted over 20 meetings. Earlier today, there was 
Traffic Calming Committee meeting. 
  
Councilmember Charles Welch – Reminder: this weekend is the KSB Community 
Cleanup.  
  
Councilmember Susan Wilkinson – Wished all a happy new year. She recognized 
Paul Osburn for jumping in during this difficult time. 
  
Mayor Pro Tem / Councilmember Tim Gould – There was a Traffic Calming 
Committee meeting earlier today. Lots of goof information was provided.  
  
Councilmember Rickey N. Oglesby, Jr. (via City Clerk Heather Peacon-Corn) – Has 
a town hall tomorrow at 7:00 PM at the training center. He also invites all to attend 
his new Indigo Room restaurant.
