Councilmember Rickey N. Oglesby, Jr. – In the spirit of Black History Month, today in 1965 a 
great jazz musician, Nat King Cole, passed away. He reminded all that Black history is 
American history.  
 
Mayor Pro Tem / Councilmember Tim Gould announced that the Smyrna Business 
Association will feature two local business owners, Aaron Bisges (StillFire) and Nick Bimmerle 
(Rev Coffee), at their March 5, 2026 meeting. 
 
Councilmember Susan Wilkinson wanted to recognize a local business in ward 5 called 
Dupsie’s that sells African American clothing.  
 
Councilmember Latonia P. Hines reminded all of the Taste of Black History next Friday. They 
will announce the celebrity chef on Wednesday from Food Network. She also recognized the 
city officials from Lugano, Switzerland who welcomed her when she visited Milano, Italy for the 
Olympics.
