Ward 3 Councilmember - Travis Lindley ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: As part of the City's renovation and build-out of the new administrative office space located at 1088 Concord Road SE, Smyrna, Georgia 30080 (formerly known as the Georgia Power Building), technology infrastructure improvements are necessary to support the relocation of the Human Resources, Information Technology, and Utility Billing Departments. These improvements will provide the technology, security, and communications systems required to support daily operations, protect City assets, and enhance customer service delivery. NetPlanner Systems, Inc. has submitted a proposal to furnish and install low-voltage cabling, access control systems, security cameras, and audio/video equipment throughout the facility. The proposed project will provide network connectivity, physical security measures, and meeting room technology necessary for staff to effectively operate from the new location. RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: The Public Works and Information Technology Department recommend authorization to approve agreement with NetPlanner Systems, Inc. (3145 Northwoods Parkway, Suite 800, Peachtree Corners, GA 30071) for technology infrastructure installation under the state contract 99999-SPD0000172-012 (Integrated Security and Surveillance Products and Services) and 99999-SPD-SPD0000210-0012 at the new City of Smyrna administrative office space located at 1088 Concord Road SE in an amount not to exceed $231,311.50 funded by TBD, and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents.
