Citywide ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: These trucks replace two current sanitation trucks in service and $25,836.00 of the total purchase price will be more than the Vehicle Replacement Fund approved amount of $600,000.00. A budget amendment is required to complete the purchase. RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: It is the recommendation of Public Works and Purchasing for the authorization to approve the purchase of two (2) Heil Dura Pack 5000, 32 Cubic Foot Yard Rear Loaders from Carolina Environmental Systems, Inc.(500 Lee Industrial Boulevard, Austell, Georgia, 30168) under Sourcewell Cooperative Heil contract #110223-THC in the amount of $625, 836.00 of which $600,000.00is using the FY26 Vehicle Replacement Fund and $25,836.00 from a budget amendment to approved separately and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents.
