1. Roll Call

2. Call to Order
The January 23, 2025, Smyrna Public Art Committee held at A. Max Bacon City Hall in the HR
Training Room was called to order at 11:35 AM.
3. Chairperson Instruction and Comment
Chairperson Oglesby welcomed the committee, city staff members, and Andrew Eble with
Designing Local to the meeting. Chairperson Oglesby opened the floor to the newest Public Art
Committee members to introduce themselves.
4. Formal Business
A. 2026-038 New Member Introductions
Committee Member Meg Quigley and Leah Barnes introduced themselves to the
committee. Committee Member Meg Quigley shared her background with art and her
experience as an interior designer. Committee Member Leah Barnes gave a summary of
her background and expressed that she is heavily involved with the Smyrna Arts Council.
B. 2026-040 Public Art Plan Update by Designing Local
Chairperson Oglesby opened the floor to Urban Planner Andrew Eble with Designing
Local to present the Public Art Master Plan. Andrew Eble provided a detailed overview
and in-depth description of each section of the plan to the committee. The presentation
expressed why a public art master plan is necessary for the community and included
recommendations for funding mechanisms and future public art projects. Andrew Eble
