Ward 5 Councilmember - Susan Wilkinson ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: This request is based off the findings that the city’s 60-inch corrugated metal storm drainpipe has failed and is causing the roadway to fail. The city is replacing the existing corrugated metal pipe with a new concrete box culvert. The anticipated length of construction is approximately 35 days. This occurred due to utility conflicts as well as minor unforeseen scope changes due to additional failed storm drainpipe that was determined unsafe and needed replacement. RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works recommends approval an extension of the current road closure at 560 Powder Springs Street until March 14, 2025.
