Spring Street on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025 beginning at 7:00AM through Monday, April 14th, 2025 ending at 7:00AM, and for closing Bank Street in conjunction with the Village Green Park weekend road closure (approved March 21, 2025) and the crosswalk painting closure at Bank Street and Village Walk on Friday, April 11th, 2025 beginning at 3:00PM through Monday, April 14th, 2025 ending at 7:00AM. Ward 3 Councilmember - Travis Lindley ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: The Public Art Committee approved murals to be painted on the two crosswalks in front of City Hall going towards Smyrna Market Village from artists Lela Brunet and Aysha Pennermen. The portion of King Street in front of City Hall and a portion of West Spring Street in front of King Street will be closed on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 7:00 AM, and will remain closed through Monday, April 14, 2025, at 7:00 AM. Additionally, a portion of Bank Street between Village Walk and King Street will be closed from 3:00 PM on Friday, April 11, 2025, through Monday, April 14th, 2025 at 7:00AM. The painting will take place during designated daylight hours. The road will remain closed throughout the night to allow the paint to cure. RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: Parks and Rec and Public Works recommend authorization for a road closure for painting the two crosswalks crossing King Street SE in front of City Hall at W. Spring Street on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025 beginning at 7:00AM through Monday, April 14th, 2025 ending at 7:00AM, and for closing Bank Street in conjunction with the Village Green Park weekend road closure (approved March 21, 2025) and the crosswalk painting closure at Bank Street and Village Walk on Friday, April 11th, 2025 beginning at 3:00PM through Monday, April 14th, 2025 ending at 7:00AM.
