Mayor Norton will also be speaking at the Rotary Club tomorrow at noon to update those in attendance about projects in the city. II. DISCUSSION / ACTION ITEMS Public comment during this portion of the Agenda must be limited to matters on the Agenda for action. The time allotted for each speaker is as follows: Public Hearing - Five (5) Minutes 6. Proclamations and Presentations A. Recognition of Campbell High School Key Club and 100 years of Key Club International Ward 3 Councilmember - Travis Lindley Ward 2 Councilmember - Latonia P. Hines Councilmember Latonia P. Hines stated the following: • On March 23, 2025, Key Club International celebrated 100 years of service, leadership and positive contributions to our communities. • Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership. • Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. What makes Key Club so successful is the fact that it is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through serving others. Members of the Kiwanis International family, Key Club members build themselves as they build their schools and communities. Councilmember Oglesby and Councilmember Hines had an opportunity to attend the celebration held at Campbell High School. She recognized Joe Debose – Kiwanis Sponsor for the Key Club – and Marina Flegal – president of the Campbell High School chapter of the Kiwanis Key Club. Over the course of the last school year, the Key Club has participated in a variety of service opportunities including food and clothing drives, children’s events, and school cleanups facilitated by Keep Smyrna Beautiful Marina Flagel said: - Thanks to the Mayor and Council for the invitation and recognition. - She has felt so welcomed by Smyrna and Campbell High School. - Members love the opportunities to help out with the library, the school community, and their sense of belonging. B. PRC2025-016 Proclamation in recognition of Coach James Gwyn and Coach Randy McClure, Campbell High School Citywide Mayor Derek Norton read and presented the following proclamation: In Recognition of Coaches James Gwyn and Randy McClure Whereas: The City of Smyrna takes great pride in honoring Coach James Gwyn and Coach Randy McClure for their extraordinary impact over the past three decades at Campbell High School; and
