MLK Jr. Event on MLK Jr. Day hosted by the Cobb NAACP. She extended a shout out to 
Keep Smyrna Beautiful’s Service Day activities. She also announced the Women’s History 
Program and Afternoon Tea on March 23, 2025. More details to come.  
  
Councilmember Susan Wilkinson – Thanked staff for keeping all safe during the cold 
weather.  
  
Mayor Pro Tem / Councilmember Tim Gould – March 6, 2025 is the second roundtable in 
coordination with the Smyrna Education Foundation to discuss best practices, etc. And on 
Friday, January 24, 2025, the 2nd Annual Gotcha Covered Blankets Gala will be held in 
remembrance of Smyrna Police Officer Mitchell Giorgiana.  
  
Councilmember Rickey N. Oglesby, Jr. – They had the Smyrna Public Art Committee 
meeting and discussed the touch-ups for the crosswalk murals. Those will be completed 
when the temperatures rise. A new RFP is out for the ARTery for 15 fire hydrants to be 
painted.
