Official Recognition of the Participants in the 2025 Smyrna Safe Business Program

ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
Motivated by the 2019 S.P. Richards warehouse fire, The Smyrna Fire Department partnered with the 
Cobb Chamber, Smyrna Business Association, and the UGA Carl Vinson Institute of Government to 
offer the first ever Smyrna Safe Business Program. The program took eight (8) small business leaders 
throughout the Smyrna area through basic business resiliency practices. Program participants were: 
Ashli Linkhorn (Sports Chiropractic Institute)
Austin Tull (Carter’s Pharmacy)
Bernard Brown (Joi Life Wellness)
Jahleela Campbell (The Fusion Hair Studio)
Lisa Lindsay (FruiTea Bubbles Café)
Reggy Lee (Be Dance with Ms. Reggy)
Sasha Tran (Alinea Chiropractic)
Victor Collins (Hounds Town Atlanta-Smyrna)
The group met monthly to focus on a specific portion of the program as well as receive online content 
between sessions. The program concluded with a tabletop exercise to for the participants to apply 
what they had learned.
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:
Smyrna Fire Department recommends official recognition of the program participants by Mayor and 
Council as a Smyrna Safe Business.
