Cases Completed: 76 COURT ON 3/03 Cases: 5 Trials Completed: 3 TRIALS 3/05 Tickets to the Smyrna Garden Tour on May 2 are now available for purchase online! Ticket holders will enjoy access to five of Smyrna’s most beautiful private gardens, as well as a tea room experience at the Reed House. This self-guided tour helps support the mission of Keep Smyrna Beautiful, funding community litter cleanups, habitat rehabilitation, pollinator gardens, environmental education, and more. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Paper tickets will be available by the end of March at the Smyrna Recycling Center and Vickery Hardware. SMYRNA GARDEN TOUR: MAY 2 More than 20 volunteers joined two Habitat Rehabilitation events this past week. On Thursday, a corporate group from Eaton removed invasive plants at Brinkley Park, and on Saturday, another group focused on invasive species at Rosalyn Lane and Powder Springs Street. Removing nonnative, invasive plants is crucial because these species can dominate an area, reducing biodiversity, altering soil chemistry, and degrading habitats that support pollinators, native plants, animals, and other organisms.
