WEEKLY FIRE TOTALS Fire: 2 Medical: 49 Other: 25 Total: 56 STRUCTURAL FIRE CONTROL CLASS Battalion Chief Kenneth Durden and Engineer Chris Weaver assisted with a Structural Fire Control class at the Douglas County Fire Department. Members of the Smyrna Fire Department were also able to attend the class, providing valuable education and networking opportunities. EMS CARDIAC ARREST SCENARIO DRILLS Engineer Chris Weaver is hosting an EMS cardiac arrest scenario drill with all three Smyrna Fire Department shifts. This training provides our personnel with the knowledge, confidence, and technical proficiency needed to recognize, respond to, and manage cardiac emergencies; helping increase a patient’s chance of survival. FIRE DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATION SMYRNA CITIZENS ACADEMY BEGINS On Tuesday, March 10, the 2026 Smyrna Citizens Academy kicked off with an opening orientation night. The 25 participants learned about the program and what to expect over the next 11 weeks, enjoyed dinner together, and got to know one another through an interactive scavenger hunt.
