WEEKLY TOTALS Arrests: 23 Traffic Stops: 158 Citations: 123 Warnings: 59 Service Calls: 590 ADVANCED ACTIVE INCIDENT RESPONSE TRAINING This past week, our police officers along with the Smyrna Fire Department and partners at METRO, participated in Advanced Active Incident Response (AAIR) training. This training gives emergency personnel the opportunity to work and train together in preparation for critical incidents that require a coordinated response. During the training, officers worked through multiple active shooter scenarios. In these situations, the primary role of law enforcement is to secure the scene so EMS personnel can safely enter and exit the area to provide medical care. Training like this helps ensure our officers and firefighters are prepared to respond quickly, safely, and effectively during any critical incident. POLICE DEPARTMENT PROCUREMENT MONTH Governor Kemp has officially proclaimed March as Procurement Month!
