• The Network and Server Engineer are responsible for monitoring and maintaining the network 
and server infrastructure. 
• The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the 
technical security controls that protect the organization’s systems, data, and infrastructure. 
• The IT Support Specialist provides front line IT support and deployment of computers to city 
staff. 
Major Goals & Objectives 
• Monitor the health of the City’s computers and network 
• Harden and maintain the cybersecurity of all City owned IT assets 
• Maintain the City’s website and intranet 
• Support the city-wide VoIP and analog telephone systems 
• Provide system administration and support of the City’s ERP and Public Safety Systems 
• Maintain viable system backups and disaster recovery strategies 
• Manage the IT security systems which include firewalls, network access control, physical access 
control 
• Support the traffic control system and security camera system networks 
• Provide user training 
• Provide cyber security awareness training and testing to all employees using IT systems 
• Manage the IT infrastructure life cycle, hardware replacement 
• Support mobile public safety access and devices (phones, cellular connections, MDT) 
Performance Measures 
• Time to initial response to help desk ticket 
• Time to resolution to help desk ticket 
• Uptime for network
