Network Refresh/Upgrade IT $460,000 
This project will upgrade the City’s network equipment and infrastructure. This equipment is 
nearing the end of its useful life and could increase cybersecurity risk if it is not replaced. The 
project will also allow the department to integrate new systems or services with the City’s network.  
 
Technical Services Renovation Library $63,000 
This project will redesign and update the operation center at the Smyrna Library. Four staff 
members work in this area, which has not been renovated in 35 years and currently does not meet 
the department’s needs. This improvement will increase efficiency and maximize work output.

Kitchen Renovations: Brawner and Comm Center Parks Admin $80,000 
This project will renovate the kitchen at the Community Center, which includes replacing existing 
floor and buying new appliances, sinks, disposals, cabinets, and tables.  
 
Tennis Court Resurfacing Parks Maint $120,000 
This project will resurface eight tennis courts across the city. Courts need to be routinely 
resurfaced, and these courts experience heavy usage.  
 
Park Amenities Parks Maint $25,000 
Keeping amenities updated throughout parks is a priority for the Smyrna Parks Department and 
the City of Smyrna as a whole. This project will systematically replace items like drinking fountains, 
benches, tables, grills, trash cans, and signs in various parks.  
 
Playgrounds: Repairs and Maintenance Parks Maint $100,000 
This project will serve as a fund to cover various repairs and maintenance across all parks in the 
City. This will give the department the ability to address aging playgrounds and provide funds to 
stay in compliance with a preventative replacement schedule.  
 
Sports Field Improvements Parks Maint $30,000 
Parks and Recreation completed a fencing, netting, and windscreen audit to determine needs across 
all parks. This project will replace several stretches of fencing, netting, and windscreens in 
immediate need of repair and help provide for future replacements. 
 
Pool Deck Surfacing Parks Programs $50,000 
The pool deck surface at the Aline Wolfe Center is in need of resurfacing. This project will install a 
non-slip coating on the pool deck and decrease the likelihood of an incident.
