Chairperson Joel Powell called to order the January 20, 2026 Planning and Zoning Commission:
Downtown Redevelopment Plan meeting held at A. Max Bacon City Hall in the HR Training
Room at 5:30 PM.

A. 2026-050 Introduction of MKSK
Andrea Worthy, Economic Development Director, explained that end of 2024, there were
15 firms that bid on this public engagement process. They narrowed it down to five and
interviewed those five. In the end, they chose the most qualified group, MKSK. And Luis
Calvo of MKSK is online to present the Downtown Redevelopment presentation.
B. 2026-052 Downtown Redevelopment Plan Discussion
