(2941 Piedmont Road NE, Suite D, Atlanta, GA. 30305) to perform a 3-year (2026-2028) AMI meter replacement project to be completed in phases. The first phase of the project in an amount not to exceed $3,640,471.05 to be paid from the Water CIP Fund, and to amend the adopted FY2026 Water CIP Fund Budget to establish a new project in the amount of $2,900,000 titled AMI Meter Integration and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all documents. Citywide ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: This project is being requested due to the need to integrate AMI technology into all city water meters city wide. This project will significantly improve efficiency and effectiveness of the city’s current meter reading system and billing processes. This project will be completed over 3 years and will start once this agenda item is approved. The first phase of the project will include the installation of all required AMI assets and the replacement of 5,000 various sized meters that will be completed in 2026. The additional 2 phases of the project will require additional Mayor / Council approvals and will be completed in 2027 and 2028 as part of our annual CIP process. RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: Administration, Public Works and Finance recommend authorization to approve Kendall Supply Inc. (2941 Piedmont Road NE, Suite D, Atlanta, GA. 30305) to perform a 3-year (2026- 2028) AMI meter replacement project to be completed in phases.
