Chairperson Mike Jones called to order the June 10, 2026 License and Variance Board meeting
held at A. Max Bacon City Hall in Council Chambers at 10:02 AM.

A. LIC2026-011 Privilege License Agent Change Request – Beer & Wine (retail package) – 2387
S Cobb Dr SE, STE A – AMZ Prime LLC, dba Discount Smoke and Food Mart, with Amreen
Khan as agent.
Ward 5 Councilmember - Susan Wilkinson
Amreen Khan, applicant/agent, came forward. She stated she is the owner and CEO, and
this will be the first time acting as an agent.
Vice Chair Garland asked the following:
• How many hours per week are you at the store? 45 hours each week, open from
7:00 a – 11:30 p.
• What training did you have? She completed all the required training and
implemented similar training with staff.
• What is the system you have in place for training staff? They have a written policy
that is kept at the register at all time. They also use job shadowing for new
employees.
• Do you have a POS system that prompts for an ID check? Not at this time, but
after they get established, they will implement a POS system.
