Board Member Phillips asked Mr. Staubes to clarify if the storage of garbage trucks and the installation of a fuel tank was something for this board to decide or if this was for the State Fire Marshal to decide. Mr. Staubes said that the use of storing garbage trucks is allowed by right and that the fuel tank is through the State Fire Marshal. Mr. Phillips clarified that if the structure were permanent, they would not even have to come before the board, but because it is temporary, that requires the special land use. Mr. Staubes confirmed. Board Member Ostrzega said that she understands where they are coming from, but that property was zoned HI from the beginning, and unfortunately, the zoning cannot be changed, so it is not a zoning issue.
