1. Roll Call

2. Call to Order
Mayor Derek Norton called to order the June 1, 2026 Pre-Council Meeting held at A. Max Bacon
City Hall in the Admin Conference Room at 6:33 PM.
3. Review of Current M&C Agenda
PRE2026-018 Review of the June 1, 2026 Mayor and Council Meeting Notice and Agenda
Mayor Derek Norton reviewed the June 1, 2026 Mayor and Council Meeting agenda. No
discussion took place.
4. Other Business / Staff Comment
Kristin Robinson, Deputy City Administrator / CFO, stated that Mableton and Cobb County have
met concerning the 489 Plan. She mentioned that the existing cities’ agreements will remain the
same, and there will be a separate one with Mableton.
Councilmember Wilkinson mentioned that the new restaurant, Zoya, was charging people for
valet parking in the city-owned lot. She also discussed the arboretum idea that she had for Windy
Hill Road. She said Paul Osburn, Interim Public Works Director, said there are issues like
irrigation that need to be discussed. Mr. Osburn said he needed guidance from Mayor and
Council as to how to proceed. Mayor Norton suggested he and Councilmember Wilkinson talk
