The property is occupied with an 964 sq. ft. building occupied by a hair salon. The property owner is requesting a rezoning to GC to allow a massage practitioner with one table. The applicant has no plans to redevelop the property and will utilize the existing building and parking facility as- is. The Planning & Zoning Commission voted 7-0 to approve at the April 13, 2026, meeting. RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: Community Development recommends approval of the rezoning from LC to GC at 3475 S Cobb Drive Road with the following conditions: 1. The following uses shall be prohibited: (710.2.1) Automobile Broker Office. (712.5) Auto Parts and Tire Stores. (712.6) Automobile Repair (Major and Minor). (712.7) Automobile and Truck Sales and Service. (712.8) Automobile Wash Services. (712.15) Drive-thru restaurants. (712.26) Motorcycle Sales and Service. (712.29) Package Stores for the sale of alcoholic beverages. (712.43) Service Stations. Hookah Bars. Vape Shops. Parking and storage of commercial vehicles, semi-tractors, and trailers. Impromptu Weekend Markets within the parking lot. Adult Entertainment and Adult Novelty Shops as defined by the City of Smyrna’s Code of Ordinances.
