Call to Order
Mayor Derek Norton called to order the August 14, 2025 Committee of the Whole meeting held
at A. Max Bacon City Hall in the HR Training Room at 6:02 PM.
2. Staff M&C Agenda Items to Review
ATH2025-137: Andrea Worthy, Economic Development Director, explained that the City of
Smyrna requested proposals for the design and installation of various types and sizes of signage
at multiple city locations. The new signage will reflect Smyrna’s updated logo and color palette.
Seven (7) proposals were received on June 30, 2025, and were reviewed by an evaluation team,
including staff from Economic Development, Community Development, Community Services,
Engineering, and Public Works. This will not include interior signage, and it is a 90 day project.
Councilmember Welch mentioned that some of the signs are crooked. Those will be addressed.
