A. V26-027 Public Hearing - Variance Request - V26-027 – Allow second accessory structure -
Land Lot 523 – 3062 Dunn Street – Albert Maryland
Ward 6 Mayor Pro Tem / Councilmember - Tim Gould
Caitlin Crowe, Land Disturbance Services Coordinator, provided the following background
on V26-027, V26-028, and V26-059:
The applicant is seeking three variances to construct a 1 ½-story detached garage on the
southern side of 3062 Dunn Street: allow a second accessory structure, reduce the
streetside setback from 23.3 feet to 0.5 feet, and increase the maximum accessory
structure height from 15 feet to 16 feet. Section 801 controls the development standards
for the R-15 zoning district, Section 1202 sets the streetside setback for corner lots, and
Section 501 dictates the maximum accessory structure number and height.
The subject property previously received approval from the License and Variance Board in
December 2015 to reduce the front setback from 35 feet to 26 feet for an addition on the
northern side of the home (Variance Case V15-047).
