O C T O B E R 2 0 - O C T O B E R 2 4 P A G E 0 9 On Saturday, Keep Smyrna Beautiful partnered with Smyrna Public Works to offer free bulky trash disposal for Smyrna residents. A total of 367 residents participated in the event. Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. One resident shared, “I got there at 8:00a.m. and everything was super organized and running smoothly. This is a fantastic event, and I hope you offer it again.” Another commented, “The people greeting cars and giving directions were very friendly and informative. The team helping unload heavy items were also a pleasure to work with.” Due to growing interest in volunteer opportunities for children under 12, Keep Smyrna Beautiful has created a list of fun, athome activities that parents can easily supervise. These projects allow young volunteers to give back to their community and even report their hours to KSB. The packet includes a double-sided flyer and detailed “howto” guides for each activity.
