Citywide ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: This project is based on the necessity to replace the current failing access and controls systems that have met end of useful life: The security system is outdated preventing IT staff from managing and integrating necessary updates Replacement parts are no longer available to make necessary repairs RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: IT, Public Works, and Finance recommend approval of a contract with NetPlanner (3145 Northwoods Parkway, suite 800, Peachtree Corners, GA 30071) to remove, replace, and upgrade building access controls for Smyrna City Hall, Library, and Community Center, and the upgrade of all existing door access control panels at all city facilities including city parks at a total cost of $291,832.35 to be funded from 2022 SPLOST Facility Improvements line item and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all documents.
