Citywide ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: This amendment incorporates standard requirements for processing applications for bail bondsman certificates and appeals for application denials, as well as the procedure required for suspension and revocation of Bail Bondsman certificates. RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: Staff recommends approval of ORD2026-003 for a Code Amendment to Chapter 22- Businesses, Article VII, of the Smyrna Code of Ordinances, Bail Bondsmen, Section 22-296 regarding the requirements for processing applications for bail bondsman certificates and Section 22-297 regarding appeals of application denials and suspension and revocation of bail bondsman certificates and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents.
