CON2025-006 Authorization to extend the contract with Designing Local, LTD (20 E. Broad Street, Suite 1010, Columbus, OH, 43215) for Public Art Consulting Services for a term of one (1) year, effective April 23, 2025, and continuing through April 22, 2026 with compensation of services provided not exceeding $25,000.00 and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents. Citywide Mike Jones, City Administrator, provided the following background: This City of Smyrna entered into an agreement with Designing Local, LTD, on April 22, 2024, pursuant to RFP 24-029 – Public Art Consulting Services. The parties wish to extend the term of the agreement for an additional one (1) year, with the extension being effective retroactively from April 23, 2025, and expiring on April 22, 2026. The total compensation for services provided during the extension term shall not exceed $25,000.00. Councilmember Rickey N. Oglesby Jr. made a motion to approve item CON2025-006; seconded by Mayor Pro Tem / Councilmember Tim Gould. The motion to approve carried with the following vote: Aye: 7 – Councilmember Pickens, Councilmember Hines (virtual), Councilmember Lindley, Councilmember Welch, Councilmember Wilkinson, Mayor Pro Tem / Councilmember Gould, Councilmember Oglesby Nay: 0 – None Recuse: 0 – None E. ATH2025-101 Approval of Authorization for Collier Drive at Memory Lane in the amount not to exceed $327,655.78 to be constructed by Ardito Construction Company (1290 Austell Road SE, Marietta, GA, 30008) to be funded from the FY26 Stormwater Fund and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents. Ward 6 Mayor Pro Tem / Councilmember - Tim Gould Mike Jones, City Administrator, provided the following background: This is a request based on an evaluation that was performed of the storm water runoff that discharges from Memory Lane and passes through the properties of 1533, 1523, 1503, and1493 Collier Drive. This request will improve the current condition as the conveyance system in place now is not adequately sized nor did the system ever have
