Councilmember Travis Lindley – The next public engagement session for the downtown 
redevelopment of the Baptist Church site is August 18, 2025 at 5:30 PM in the Smyrna 
Community Center. He also recognized the Tillman Center and the mural dedication at the 
corner of King and Church. 
  
Councilmember Charles Welch – Encouraged all to attend the public engagement session 
on August 18. There are three options to offer an opinion on. 
  
Councilmember Rickey N. Oglesby, Jr. – Offered his congratulations to the new Smyrna 
youth US Track and Field All-Americans. It was hosted in Savannah. There are at least ten 
Smyrna youth that attained All-American status meaning they reached a minimum of 
8th place among all competitors in the nation. He also mentioned that there is an RFP out 
for artwork for electrical boxes throughout the city in all of the represented wards.
